We also run three successful food-led pubs under the Malvern Inns brand, allowing us to stay in touch with the latest industry trends and providing the ideal testing ground for our latest software developments.
Alastair is founder and CEO of Catton Hospitality, a group of hospitality industry businesses of which S4Labour forms an integral part. His extensive experience of hospitality operations and passion for increasing operational efficiency means he is ideally placed to lead the company.
Previously, Alastair worked for Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) as Managing Director of the popular All Bar One brand. Prior to this, he was responsible for overseeing the demerger of the Bass Hotel and Pub estate to form M&B after graduating in maths from Oxford University and working in financial services for PwC.
A pub man through and through, Alastair is also qualified beer sommelier and has judged at events around the country, as well as contributing articles for a range of industry publications.
A co-founder of Catton Hospitality, Phil has been involved with S4Labour from the beginning, with his focus being the initial and ongoing development of the product.
Prior to his current role, he gained almost three decades of hospitality industry experience across a cross section of firms including The Walt Disney Company, Scottish & Newcastle, Whitbread PLC, and M&B.
A talented chef, Phil heads up menu development across our pub-restaurants, and has previously worked in contract catering for industry leader Aramark UK, where he led the labour division of their Operational Excellence team.
Richard leads the Sales & Marketing department at S4Labour. Our youngest director, he still has almost 20 years of experience in hospitality, having started at the tender age of sixteen. He is passionate about delivering S4Labour into new markets and helping ever more operators improve their processes.
Having completed the M&B graduate training scheme, Richard cut his teeth managing areas within the All Bar One and Premium Country Dining Group brands, before working with Geronimo Inns, running their flagship site and delivering record sales and profits. He has also worked in the casual dining sector, overseeing sites for ASK Italian.
Giles, our Customer Success Director, also draws from a wealth of hospitality experience having spent nearly 40 years as an operator, with the last 15 years specialising in the Leased & Tenanted pub sector.
He has also run his own seven site high street restaurant business so understands the day to day difficulties of managing staff to provide great service combined with operational efficiency. Giles passionately believes S4Labour is the market leading system to help our clients achieve this challenging balance.
